The GDN Research Medals and Awards form the largest worldwide competition for research on development issues. My paper, titled Linking Urban Vulnerability, Infra-power and 'Communal' Violence: extralegal security andpolicing in Nagpada, Mumbai was shortlisted under the category of Rule of Law:Providing Security for Development. All finalists were invited to present theirresearch at the Annual Global Development Network conference in Brisbane, Australia.
