My Wingate Scholarship allowed me to train and further develop as an opera and concert singer. It was invaluable at a time when as a young singer, after leaving the sheltered environment of Music College, I needed to continue my vocal training. I also used some of my funding to develop my language skills, particularly German which has enabled me to further explore Lieder. Since being awarded the Scholarship I have sung with companies including Welsh National Opera and Glyndebourne and have sung concert repertoire at venues including St. Johnís Smith Square, St Martin in the Fields and The Sheldonian Theatre.
In addition to my performing I am enjoying teaching singing and passing on the knowledge I have been fortunate to acquire. I have taught at St Paulís Girls School, Hammersmith and am currently on the music staff at Wycombe Abbey Girls School. I am also an examiner for the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music.
